Lost Ship

Lost Ship Free low-poly 3D model

Description

I have found sketches of Sci-Fi based craft which for one reason or another never went into production. As little or no information covers this craft, much of it is the result of supposition. The little I do know is that it is circa 1977

To add to the history already given, this McQuarrie design was eventually adjusted and became the USS Discovery for the show Star Trek: Discovery.

There is actually alot of info on this. It's the Ralph McQuarrie design for the refitted U.S.S Enterprise for the abandoned Star Trek film Planet Of The Titans. He built a wood and cardboard model of this design, and after the film was reworked into the failed Star Trek Phase II series, somebody at Paramount held onto the model, and during the Next Generation series it was repainted and used as a small starship in the background of the Spacedock shots.
