This elegant bentwood classic is a masterpiece in design and manufacture: the protruding arm, which forms the back and armrests at the same time, is bent into its shape in one piece from solid beech wood. Like the original model of bentwood chairs, model no.214, the 209 also consists of only six parts. Due to its aesthetic reduction in connection with the organic form, it almost looks like a sculpture. The Swiss architect Le Corbusier was enthusiastic about it and used it in many of his buildings, including in the Weißenhof settlement in Stuttgart in 1927. He confirmed that this chair possesses nobility. It is produced in our factory in Frankenberg.
Open back or with back part. Seats and backrest with woven cane or covered with leather or fabric. Seats are also available as a plywood seat. Wooden parts stained in beech. Also manufactured in Pure Materials versions.
