The glass-clad five storey Friendly Street building is a landmark for Huddersfield, and is the first of its size in the UK to feature a double-skin frame, creating a unique cooling system instead of the usual mechanical comfort cooling which is so harmful to the environment. The Centre is a beacon for creative businesses, displayed through a commissioned programmable l.e.d. lighting design illuminating the façade of the building.
