The bolon house (in Batak Toba language: Ruma Bolon) is a traditional house typical of the Batak tribe in North Sumatra, Indonesia. The bolon house is characterized by a stage shape with a curved and pointed roof, and walls and floors made of wood. This house not only functions as a residence, but also as a place for family meetings, customary deliberations, and religious ceremonies.
