For the 12-month period ending December 31, 2010, the airport had 45,654 aircraft operations, an average of 125 per day: 67%25 general aviation, 21%25 air taxi, 7%25 military and 5%25 scheduled commercial. In 2010 Bismarck Airport set an all time passenger boarding record with 194,043 passengers. The previous record was set in 1979 when the Women's Professional Bowling League held a tournament in Bismarck. Airport manager Greg Haug says the combination of North Dakota's economy and new airline services have contributed to the increase. He says the airport's steady growth is a good sign for the community. It's going to help us garner more flights and negotiation on more air service and that can provide additional competition which can lead to drops in price.
