City Grid with no stop lights

City Grid with no stop lights Free 3D model

Description

This 3D model was originally created with Sketchup 8 and then converted to all other 3D formats. Native format is .skp 3dsmax scene is 3ds Max 2016 version, rendered with Vray 3.00 I set out to look at what would happen if I patterned out what I perceived to be the ideal intersection - 3 roads that come together 120 degrees apart, and built in such a way that anyone can go in any direction without crossing paths with another car. This form of intersection means we do NOT need light signals or stop signs. The grid that resulted from this fractal geometry repition was hexagonal in shape, and is infinitely scalable!
