3D printer lowpoly with armature and IK bones for experimental animations in a Blender project. It contains three chains ik that correspond to the wires.
In Blender project, the IK bones are named with name + IK to indicate that they are the bones that should be animated with translations (not rotations) for the printer's wire chain. The bones for the gears, power switch, extruder fan, filament spool and motors are not named with name + IK because they are animated with rotations (not translations).The Axis bone, although not named name +IK, is also animated with up-down translation.
The Blender project includes a sample animation, which can serve as a guide for creating other animations, press play on the timeline to view it.
This isn't a professional project, but it's perfectly functional for experimenting with animations and having fun. The project is offered completely free price. It was hard work creating this project, I hope you enjoy it.
The model has been tested in Blender 4.5, Maya 3D, and Unreal Engine 5.
Albedo, Metallic, Emissive, Normal Map and Roughness textures 4K - 2K.
The FBX and OBJ files have been exported from the Blender project at a scale of 1.
Notes and tips:1: To export the animation from Blender, remember to change the Simplify value to 0 in the Animation tab and disable Add Leaf Bones in the Armature tab.2: In Unreal Engine 5, you must change the animation compression from ACL Compression to Default Compression in the animation editor UE5 when importing animations.
