Think tank: What are 3 things you'd like to see on CGTrader?

2. I'd like to have a way to see all the products that I have "liked". Sometimes I want to see again a model, and its annoying to have to look for it again everytime.

1. Organise the 'applications for jobs' in categories: active, not selected yet, declined expired
2. Add the possibilty to manually withdraw money and anytime, it's really important, all freelance and model selling sites (those I use) have this
3. Add a feature to see if a client have checked the offer

CGtrader-trades all things related to the field of computer graphics. So I think not just in 3d, but also 2d and other stuff. I hope that CGtrader will allow trading 2d products. Like unity asset store or envato.

It will be awesome to have a system were artists can split the revenue of a model automatically. for example, a lead artist set up the % to transfer to another artist, each time a particular model is sold.

1. Faster loading times. The site in general tends to take 2-5 seconds to load each page. I've often thought the site was down. I'd hate for a new customer to come here and leave while its still in the loading phase.
2. The ability to hide comments and flag them for a moderator to remove. I've gotten some random spam in my comments, trying to link to some questionable websites.
3. Sales/discounts are fine if they're only for a limited time, not every day.

Not sure if your still accepting answers but a cool feature would be in the jobs area, once a job is done to have the employer rate the modeller on performance and display that on their profile.

On the product page (https://www.cgtrader.com/profile/products) and next to the Status or other column, it would be handy to have a count of downloads for each product, just as the Status column is presented. Also, next to Views and Likes, a Comments count would be useful too.

Glad you asked! I'd like to be able to organize my page in subcategories, either arbitrary or according to existing ones (those used when you upload your product). The aim is to redirect customers to a Landing page, where they can have a look around and browse all of our models, without having to scroll two huge lists (3DP and regular).
For example we could use existing categories such as "Jewelry - Rings" to create a folder in our designer's page, in order to have our products sorted in a clear and easy-to-navigate way. Right now I am advertising models one by one and even if currently I have only 31, it is already beginning to be difficult to navigate among them.

I would also like to see lots of improvements on the system for followers.

Currently the system basically has minimal added value because there is no meaningful way interesting activity's/information from the artists you follow get distributed and displayed or received via mail notifications.

So things like they made new uploads or doing special actions, or made a tutorial, maybe they made a new gallery entry or posted something in forum, or they are joining a challenge and you want to follow up on there progress or something, etc.

You basically need to find them online on twitter or Artstation or something and hope they update those channels in order to get some information about what they are doing and keep updated.

A good followings system coupled with mail notification and customizable personal page would be great addition to secure Cgtraders position even more.

I think allot of us already love CGtrader but that kind of stuff would makes the love completely true ;-)

The thing is, for artists that make unique designs or specific stuff to serve the niches this is very important, for the buyers of this stuff this is also very important because they want to keep updated about new productions from those artist they love to work with.

Also it would make those artist invest even more in CGtrader as the main platform of choice for social interactions surrounding there creative work (recipe for even more traffic and interactions/backlinking).

The biggest thing I want to see fixed is a small thing (I know most people don't mind it). I would like to see the designer rank update properly. I've been rank #3961 since I joined, and every time I see that now it bugs me soooo much. I know the designer rank doesn't effect sales. It just always makes me think, why even have it if it doesn't work? It seems like something that should only take an hour or two of troubleshooting to fix...

My other two would be what @runnriot said:

Fixing these would save a lot of time managing new products by not having to reorganize images or strain your eyes figuring out which image is which.

Ok, here's my list then:
1. ability to customize store page a.k.a. public profile
2. aid in publishing collections
3. fix various annoying long standing bugs

Hi mates,

1/ new one should be a easy way to make collections from individual models already uploaded with the possibility to get files and pictures from them to make the collection pages. Also, we could choose the price of it or get a standard price from an automatic addition of individual price's models less 30% (for example)
2/ improvement should be for stats with graph and details for each models and collections.
3/ fixed for everything else and especialy for possibilities to make offers and discounted prices. Sketchfab view is amazing too, a very good way to show the 3D model with details and pbr rendering in VR.

Implement finally the Payoneer !!!

1. It is necessary to track and group loyal customers. For sending offers and discounts.
2. The ability to determine through which services / sites are carried out page views of the store. What would I know from which advertising sites my customers come in more.

I think that there should be an option in the back-end for selecting two license types/prices and list two prices/ license types in front-end next to the model, one for professional license (for commercial uses) and optionally one for consumer license (for non commercial uses), and maybe simply remove the make offer button.

Now most consumers/hobbyists get to us via the make offer button and then usually they tell its for a hobby project or other personal uses like a print for an essay cover or something, then we have to tell them they can get a non commercial license at lower price point etc., takes time and not everyone knows he can get non commercial license in this fashion.

Also there are some very high quality models here on CGtrader that are priced unimaginably low, usually those are the sellers that focus on the consumer/hobbyists, but the same commercial license type apply to those models regardless. Those sellers are very likely to lose sales as some pro user that seek to use designs commercially turn away because at first glance do not believe it would be for use commercially, or they think those models are not pro grade or something (suspicious their must be something wrong with these models).

Note; it is common practice for example with software licenses that there are multiple license types/versions, like educational/hobbyists or freelancer versus enterprise level license types, on one and same software.

If sellers that focus on consumer/hobbyists could set low price in up-loader panel and attache the non commercial license to it and next to that set a pro price and attache the commercial license to that then I think we would have a more healthy situation.

So maybe best to show 2 prices next to the model and a clearly visible license type icon and commercial use versus non commercial use statement next to it.

Also best to leave option in back-end for those hoe doe not wish to use two prices next to the model. Maybe sellers that do not wish to use two prices next to the model simply select the one or the other license type and just enter a value next to it (basically resulting in one listing next to the model in front-end).

It's not really running out of ideas, rather embracing them.
The topic you mentioned is also one we do still keep a track of and some of these suggestions are in our plans or being developed, but we all know times change rapidly - one idea can change another, while the same idea can be worked on and improved every time you sit down next to it. :)

I believe in continuously keeping track with people over their wishes - and this topic is for everyone to think about and filter what they would like the most.

E.g. you can think that X would be good, but having to choose from W, X, Y, Z, you will consciously start prioritizing what to do first, what is needed more/first.

I'm still a young guy, but I haven't seen anyone who would just finish every idea they had - yet I strongly believe that keeping a track of older ideas while adding new ones into the mix, then weighing them in one by one, comparing them and finally prioritizing them can only help us move forward. :)

Keep in mind you are one of the people we really respect for being honest, and I would also like you to weigh in on the 3 ideas that you would like done the most.

Excuse me guys, but are you really out of ideas what to do next? Here's thread started by yourselfs, that has plenty of ideas on improvement: https://www.cgtrader.com/forum/topics/community-feedback-where-can-cgtrader-improve I took calculator and counted down all ideas listed there. There are 25 suggestions that was never addressed and only 3,5 issues that was solved. So do we really need yet another thread full of wet dreams, that most likely will never be fulfilled?

Sorry, I have just one idea :)

(1). A possibility to add pictures or links into the description via Html or Markdown would be nice and helpful to describe the product a bit better.

I like this!

1. The ability to offer bulk discounts (buy a certain amount of models from one buyer and get a discount)
2. a calendar when CGTrader wants to haves sales
3. the ability to add half your models to a sale/promotion etc. (so you can do A/B testing what works best for you)

Good idea :) Here goes:

1. Ability to manually choose featured products on public profile
2. Square Thumbnails
3. Allow customers to bundle products for discount

1. Better mobile version to communicate with clients when working on jobs, track sales, respond to offers, etc.

2. CGTrader approved products (stamp of approval from CG staff) so customers know they are getting good products. But sellers have to meet set list of minimum requirements when submitting for approval.

3. More focused sales (24hr sale on specific products/ category) with it being promoted heavily on social media/ 3d forums. Sometimes it feels like sales & discounts go under the radar because of lack of promotion.

1) Improvement: avoid stretching of square products pictures presentation

2) More products statistic board (number of view, count in cart etc.)

3) During promotional periods, for the concerned products,
it should not be possible to negotiate prices, some customers really exaggerate.
So no "negociate" button for promotional products.
