loading a 3d model

Discussion started by aplex

Such a question, are uv scans mandatory for models? and if so, do we need textures for them? I just have this problem:

I can make uv scans, but it is simply impossible to bake some materials, when baking they look completely different, and the model will not look as intended.

Is it possible to just do a uv scan for the entire model and not include new textures in it? and leave it in its original form ( with good materials, as it was originally intended)

Not sure exactly what you mean. Is your model a photogrammetry model? What will it be used for? UV's are not mandatory, but they will definitely increase the value and demand for your model (unless it is intended for 3d printing).
