Cinema 4D Freelance Jobs

Discussion started by tdubic

Is anybody see some place where you can find cinema 4d freelance job. On most sites I find people posting jobs for 3d studio max and maya.
I was thinking that cinema 4d going up in popularity. So now I am thinking should I stay or should I go.
I have plan to start using 3d max or maya. Before Cinema 4D i was using 3d max, but I didn't like it, I think it is less user friendly then Cinema 4d, but what about maya? I read that maya is good program is that right?

in question of practicality,i like the blender, its very simple to model and texture, and when you finish you works in there, you can export to other programs, so you can implement your models and do things that you can't in blender.
but, Maya is a kind of same of blender just with a few differences. i recommend that you try, least once the blender, it is free, and useful, sorry about my words, i'm Brazilian.

I'm a Cinema 4D used and I am pretty happy with it and don't think about changing ship anytime soon. It all depends on what you want to use C4D for and what your pipeline is. Cinema is easy to use and fun to learn and flexible to suit your needs. It is true that it has some issues when it comes to exporting to other formats (I find it a nightmare to export something to UDK, BUT it exports wonderfully into Unity). With the new improvements in the last few versions Cinema is really catching up to some of the bigger names like Maya and 3Ds Max, in my opinion at least. I think that if you like the workflow in Cinema, you don't need to change to Maya or another package, but again, this is just me talking.

Martin I like Cinema 4D workflow, only problem is that on freelance job sites, most people work with 3d max and maya, I hope in future more studios will start working with cinema 4D, so we can find more jobs in this sector.
