First of all, sorry to hear about your loss!

Second, its in the contract of the buyer to destroy the content if there is a refund provided for the model. If that person then redistributes it its not the fault of CGTrader but the artist who purchased it. You should converse directly with the team at CGtrader on this matter and Im sure they would do what they can to help you, bringing this to a public forum is not good form.

Pleas delete this link asap, its not serving anybody, report this type of things directly to staff.
What’s the point of this, are you seeking public support?

Your probably acting in anger and trying to damage CGtrader but its not serving anyone, except maybe competitors where eventually same things happen. Do not connect to the internet or upload any content to it if you want to avoid getting exposed to its vulnerability's.

What your doing right now is promoting/advertising a pirate website on the public CGtrader forum and while your add it giving them some extra traffic and potentially up-ranking that link above your own payed product in Google so your doing yourself more damage.

Track the source of the link on that website and contact the host with a request to remove the file.

Also keep in mind that in this case the vulnerability that was exploited is probably one in the credit-card payment system.

This exist everywhere on the internet, not on CGtrader alone, you can say its unacceptable if it makes you feel better, is it going to solve piracy, probably not? Most important thing is good visibility (searchability) and position of your legal copy’s, CGtrader is good for that.

I agree with vispro, things get seriously seen only when it creates a drama. If support is still silent it's his right to say it publicly to avert the others, I think that's a very good reaction for all those who didn't know about model's stealing. The fact that piracy exists everywhere on Internet is not an acceptable excuse for leaving this stealing unreviewed. Piracy is not a simple issue, it's a struggle.

I think CGtrader or any other platform, should only refund if the model was not downloaded by the buyer, or the model doesn't match the description. Any other reason should be dismissed. It's not the seller fault if you can't read.

It wasn't refund by cgtrader, it was fraudulent purchase, meaning that cgtrader simply didn't receive money themselves or transaction was cancelled by bank.

Could something be implemented such that the seller can have the option that his or her model can Only be downloaded 24 hours after purchase? Would this solve the problem?

a) sometimes fraud fact can be revealed after few days, weeks or even months after purchase. 24 hour delay would solve nothing in such case. b) if marketplace X would give you link to download the files, only after 24 hours since purchase and marketplace Y would give you link immediately, where would you go to purchase the models?

It easy to search because the topic in warez websites use cgtrader name content prefix. It can search very easy.
I want everyone to brainstorm about this matter. Because it is a long-term problem.
Don't want to let go Without finding a solution.
