Thank you, that is very good to know.

Hello everybody.
I was wondering, is there anybody who has experience selling on 3d export?Thank you, that is very good to know.
that one is now scrapped of my list of possible site.
The only advice I MUST give to all 3D atists: Do not publish your models on HIGHEND3D. I had to remove all my models on this site because they no longer pay the artists, they owe me several months of sales, but I had to resign myself.
looks like i have to look a bit further, or wait for things to change then.
although, considering that blender is my primary software, blender market might be an option.
no idea about the amount of sales over there though,
but at least i think it is the only market place on the internet with royalties similar to higher than cgtrader. so it is worth a shot i think.
at this time I am only selling artworks on CGTrader only, But I am thinking to sell on Unreal Market as well.

Looking at "pros and cons" of sketchfab I can say: they are the same parasites as Upwork, Turbosquirt and others. It's my personal opinion.
US style: "everybody should pay for everything and users problems are not our problems". Just wrapped in fizzy-dizzy-wow user interface and with potentially "hackable" 3D-viewer.
I have account on Sketchfab, but I don't use due to same reasons you described in "-", "+/-" and even due to some of "+" ("social aspect"... it's impossible to do JOB and "working on publicity" in the same time. At least for me ).
But again: it's my personal opinion.
Sketchfab
+ i think they have the biggest traffic of all the marketplaces and there's big potential to grow. They have many big names backing them up.
+ publishing is easy and even fun, if you're creative person and have some time on your hands.
+ customers are able to inspect your model thoroughly, so they know exactly what they are buying (low chance of chargeback because of quality issues)
+ social aspect is well maintained, so you're able to boost your models publicity, if you're active enough.
- most of the traffic are not paying customers, so the sales are quite lacking from the likes of cgtrader and turbosquid.
- your models may be less secure than they are in traditional marketplaces.
- they don't have centralized payment, each customer are paying to you directly through paypal (bigger fees, big hassle with taxes).
- model management and statistical data is abysmall and they show no interest in improving that.
- private messaging is available only to paid tiers, so you have to carry all the support either publicly, or through e-mail, which is far from ideal
+/- they are forcing discounts and sale events from which you can't opt out, but unlike some other Big Shit marketplace, they're not trying to control your pricing, so you can increase your prices slightly to compensate ever increasing sale-offs.
+/- paid models are mixed with free ones and that may be harder for customers to find what they want.
Few years ago 3dexport was more or less acceptable place. But last couple years it's just a "backup hole". They doing nothing. So for me uploading models to 3dexport gives no effect in sales. It's just a trash yard.
My only specialization is 3d-printable jewelry and I don't know any alternative to CGtrader at this moment. I've tried to take a look on other sites but...
