Why go to the forest when you can experience it at the comfort of your own home? Here comes the VR Animals Challenge and it's your chance to show how well you can model critters and what not!
This is a low polygon (50,000 or less) challenge, because VR needs to conserve all the resources it can to deliver those vital 90 FPS. The challenge will run until August 22nd, 2016, and only models uploaded during this time can apply. So get to modeling kittens, bears, dinosaurs, whatever. As long as it's a low polygon animal, it's good to enter!
We will select one winner and two runner ups in the Best VR Animal model category and one winner and one runner up in Best Portfolio. 6-moth subscription and an interview (interviews are great way to boost your visibility online) by 3D Artist is the prize exclusive to the winners. However, both the winners and the runners will get snazzy mobile VR headsets from FreelyVR and full version of PixPlant 3 by PixPlant for either Windows of Mac OS X (winner's choice) .
Grab your family pet, steal the neighbor's pet iguana, sneak your computer into the bear cage at the zoo and get to modeling!
