Time to show Adeptus Mechanicus that it's really not that hard to build a new ship faster than in a hundred years! The MakePrintable 3D Printed Sci-Fi Ship Challenge is on! The task is self evident: you need to design the best, the most impressive 3D printable spaceship you can! Show the designers of Babylon 5, Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek, Andromeda, Stargate Atlantis and especially Lexx that they're nothing but bantha fodder.

First off, your model has to be uploaded and prepared for printing through MakePrintable (where you can also use it to make not-originally-printable models printable). Only the entries entered between the 3rd of August, 2016 and the 10th of October, 2016. While you don't need to have a cool render of the model, we definitely will appreciate one!

The models will be judged by a comittee from MakePrintable and CGTrader. They will select one winner and two runner-ups. The first place winner will get - hold on to your seat - a MOD-t 3D Printer from New Matter. The second place will get you a spool of 1.75 mm of MetalFil™ - Ancient Bronze Filament and a spool of MetalFil™ - Classic Copper Filament, all by Formfutura. The third place winner will receive a 3D printed model of their ship from MakePrintable (make sure to share pictures).
