OverviewIn 1925, Albert J. Swanson invented the Speed Square — part rafter square, part protractor, part marking guide. It became the carpenter’s pocket tool in the US. But here’s the catch: it was born in the Imperial system. Great if you’re framing in inches. Not so great if you’re working in metric.
So I designed my own:• All-imperial unit rafter square• Rise/run markings for common rafters, hip/valley cuts, and top notch• Printable as a solid jig or lightweight frame
WHAT INCLUDED:
- Traditional Hip/Valley system
- 7.5 inch long main ruler
- 4 inch long increment ruler
- Degree system up to 90 degree with 1 degree increment
- Pivot Point
- Scribble notch for main ruler increment at 1/16 inch
- 5 mm lip thickness with insertion notch for the main Square
- Separated Main Lip Print and Main ruler print
- Double-sided labels
NOTE:
- Print the main part as bi-color i.e. white-black-white sandwich or can be black-white-black or etc (p-n-p or n-p-n) with Klipper Engine (MANDATORY!)
- Print the Cantilever base as normal single color with either Marlin or Klipper (can be both)
- Infill as you wish but reccomended at 25% and 3 walls for durability
- Layer at 0.08 mm best for the finest result
Personal Note:
- Best nozzle use is 0.2 mm although my nozzle as 0.4 mm just work fine (Elegoo Neptune 4)
- All tested on my Elegoo Neptune 4 series. This rafter-square sent my wind tunnel project into my Thesis Defence!
- No BambuLab or AMS required. Your regular printer such as Ender 3 with Klipper still can print it!
