Adjustable Phone Stand with Pen & Pencil Organizer
A functional adjustable phone stand consisting of two identical side parts designed for 3D printing. Pens or pencils pass through corresponding holes, helping improve the stability of the stand and allowing the spacing between the side parts to be adjusted for phones of different sizes.
The adjustable spacing allows the stand to accommodate phones of different sizes in portrait or landscape orientation. The arrangement of the holes also lets you experiment with different pen or pencil positions to find a suitable phone position and viewing angle.
Package and Assembly
One STL file is included because both side parts are identical. Print 2 copies of this part for assembly.
Straight pens or pencils with a body diameter of less than 8.2 mm are required. Several pens or pencils should pass through corresponding holes in both side parts to provide stability. You do not need to use all 15 holes. Pens with wide caps can be used in one side part only if they do not reach the corresponding hole in the opposite side part.
In the standard stand position, the phone can be charged in portrait orientation if enough space is left between the side parts for the charging cable.
Printing
The part is designed to be printed on its side without supports, in the recommended orientation in which it is provided in the STL file.
Recommended starting settings: FDM/FFF, 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.20 mm layer height, PLA, 3 wall loops, and 15% infill. A brim can be used if needed for better bed adhesion.
Main Dimensions
Approximate size of one side part: 96.6 × 92.1 × 30 mm. Nominal hole diameter: 8.2 mm. Nominal phone slot width: 14 mm.
The hole entrances have small chamfers to make pens and pencils easier to insert. The nominal 8.2 mm diameter refers to the main cylindrical section of the hole; the diameter at the entrance is slightly larger because of the chamfer.
Print the model at 100% scale to preserve the original dimensions and compatibility with pens and pencils.
Model Verification
The model has undergone digital geometry and slicing checks for FDM printing. A physical test print has not yet been performed, so the listed print settings should be considered recommended starting values.
