A concept model of a space capsule with a concave heatshield rather then convex - minor stability issues and reduced internal volume but according to computer simulations it can reenter using about half as much ablative shielding as a regular capsule - might be a useful concept for sample return missions from the outer solar systemthe capsule in the theoretical concept used to test the idea has a diameter of about 4 meters and in the simulation was weighted at about 4 tons for comparability and simplicity, though it might be more useful to build it lighter for it's ssize with a lower surface load
