DESCRIPTION

Anatomically correct cross section of a maxillary molar tooth illustrating nerves and vessels running through 2 of the 3 roots and hollowed out pulp. Great as a showpiece for a dental practice, gift idea or educational material.

Technical Details:Size: Original Scale 18 mm tall, 11mm wide-> Scaleable to maximum print volume (e.g. 250 mm tall, 152 mm wide in case of Ender 3)Model in the picture: Approx 23.5 cm tall, 310 grams, PLA, 2.5 days print time. With 15% infill still feels firm and stable.

Best print result:

  • PLA
  • Layer height: 0.16 mm
  • Nozzle: 0.4 mm
  • Infill: 15-20%
  • Speed: 50 mm/s
  • Temp: 200C Nozzle, 65C bed
  • Adhesion: Brim
  • Support: Yes

Best result was an upside down print with a 30 degree angle and Normal support enabled at 45 overhang (as seen in slicer image), other option is upside down without angle and treesupport enabled.

Models smaller than +/-90mm will show less detail in vasculature structure on standard FDM printer, this however can be improved with smaller nozzle sizes.
