Microscope Accessory Box

Microscope Accessory Box 3D print model

Description

An accessory box I made for my daughter's microscope. I designed it to contain all the microscope accessories for this microscope (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08L7ZKGC8/ref=ox_sc_saved_image_7?smid=A1BIG265MJBW5C&th=1), or anything similar. It keeps all accessories in place inside the box, even while being moved or shaken. The lid is held closed by two round 3mm x 6mm neodymium magnets that are glued in place. You can find them here (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07873ZCY4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1), but any magnets of the same dimensions will work just as well. I have the lid hinges held in place by two 3D printed nuts and bolts that I found free online from akira3dp0 (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1460364). I have included a file of the nut and bolt that is sized for the best fit in the microscope box, but you can use any other nuts and bolts that are of an appropriate size for the box (3D printed or otherwise). The Science is like Magic placard is sized for a friction fit on the top of the lid, but depending on your printers tolerance, it may do best glued in place.

The box contains storage features to hold : 16 microscope slides 3 microscope glare shades Remote controller Microscope stage slide holder Large slot for both power cord and charging block
