Intended for 3d print.
Swedish 8cm mortar team from the the interbellum/WW2 era. The soldiers are using the following equipment:
The M/39 uniform.
The M/37 steel helmet.
The grk M/29 mortar. An 8cm mortar, essentially a british-designed Stokes-Brandt mortar imported and redesignated as M/29 to fit swedish military nomenclature.
8 cm wing grenade.
The M/37 Field Telephone, nicknamed the Fältapa (lit. Field Monkey. Apparently because of its robust design). Based on a german design and manufactured in Sweden by Ericsson.
To my knowledge the 8cm mortar was used by the so-called heavy company, of which there was one to each infantry battalion. Each heavy company had 4 mortars. The 8cm mortars were also used by rifle companies, with one mortar issued to each company. But please don't quote me on this. Later on the army was also equipped with 12 cm (grk M/41) and 4,7 cm (grk M/40) mortars, with both variants being issued in small numbers over the course of the war but never considered particularly useful.
Printing instructions
Recommended printing scale is 28mm. The default scale of the models is also approximately 28mm when you first load them into your slicer. Note that you can easily alter the size of the models prior to printing. No models are currently pre-supported. Personally I think this gives the customer greater flexibility (as well as saving me quite a bit of effort...) , but you are welcome to send me a request to pre-support all models, and I'll upload them to the product free of charge. If you have any additional questions, for example re: various historical aspects, you can also contact me. I'm no expert, but I do have access to some fairly credible historical sources I've used when designing the models.
