SB2C-3Powered by the R-2600-20 engine and equipped with a four-blade propeller.With few exceptions of remaining -1C aircraft, this was the primary variant in service during the Battle of Leyte Gulf.
SB2C-4Introduced in early 1945, featuring underwing pylons for rocket armament.
SB2C-4EA radar-equipped variant of the -4, fitted with the AN/APS-4 radar pod under the wing.

The Helldiver features a distinctive rear gunner’s position, where the rear cockpit structure folds down toward the base of the vertical stabilizer.This characteristic mechanism has been reproduced in the open-canopy configuration.
