Japanese Nagato Class Battleship

Japanese Nagato Class Battleship 3D print model

Description

1/1800th scale Nagato Class Battleship model. Certain elements not to scale.

Two Nagato Class Battleships were built in the 1910's. They saw very little action in WWII. The Mutsu was sabotaged by a crewmember and sunk in 1943, the Nagato was sunk in 1946 after the war by U.S. nuclear weapons testing.

This model is designed and tested at 1/1800th scale, but up-scaling and down-scaling are possible. Since the model is optimized for 1/1800th scale, it is not ideal to print larger versions due to a lack of detail. The gun barrels and mast have been enlarged.

This is part of my collection of WWII warships, keep an eye out for more to come. If you have a specific request, message me and I'll bump it up my list.

Update 05 Aug 19: Added boats and anchor chains. Adjustments for better printability.

Tested with PLA at .15mm layer height with .4mm nozzle. However, smaller layer heights such as .08 will create better results.
