DESCRIPTION

This printable M5 Caboose model in N 1:160 scale just needs trucks, couplers, and an etched metal roofwalk such as by Plano or Gold Medal Models. These cabooses were used by Atlantic Coast Line, Seaboard Coast Line, Family Lines, and Seaboard System. The model consists of six STL files: the car body, roof, end railings, chimney, and a jig for bending wire for some grab irons. Also included is a Sketchup file. The Sketchup file is water tight, print ready, and can be edited and rescaled. Note that the scaling in the Sketchup file is ten times larger than the scale size due to Sketchup performing poorly at tiny scales. The N scale body measures 72 mm in length. Includes stl files with resin printer supports for the body and roof (depending on your printer you may need to add supports or configure your own support system). Also included is a variation of the body without rivets in case you'd rather the rivets be modeled as decals. Also included is a scale PDF of the model that can be used for making decals, such as if you want to make a full side decal based on a photo edited to fit exactly right.

Produces an excellent model. Like most n scale models, panel details are a bit thick, but they can be thinned down to scale with light sanding.
