DESCRIPTION

Let me introduce you my concept of the famous Ralph McQuarrie's artwork – original Incom T65 X-Wing Starfighter. As a bonus, the whole model is created to match the Studio Scale Standard which is about 1:24.

There are 83 parts in total. The larger parts are optimized for FDM printers, the smaller parts for SLA printers. Only by using two different technologies will guarantee the best possible quality of your print (FDM for hardness, SLA for details), but you can definitely print it in any way you want. In addition, you can use steel rods for cannons to push the model to another level (3D files for cannons are naturally included as well).

All files are in stl format.

The finished model is huge (about 49 x 51 x 20 cm) and ready to be attached to a display stand (not included) - the diameter to the attachment hole is 12 mm.

BUILDING INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED!

I hope you will enjoy this build as much as I do. MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU ... ALWAYS!

Reselling STL files or printed parts is prohibited!

UPDATE 1Top and bottom fuselage details were added. The instruction manual was not updated so please, check the photos to install these pieces correctly. The most important is, it can be place on already finished model too!

Can you create a version with the fuselage as one piece instead of the 9 or so pieces (all FDM parts)? Thanks. I have a super tall printer and can make it in 1 go.

Bought these files awhile back and just now got around to printing them. All the FDM parts were printed on a Bambu X1C printer, while all the resin parts are printed on an Elegoo Saturn using EPax Hard Gray. Overall, this isn't a bad kit. The size is impressive and it looks the part when dry fitted together. I do have a few suggestions on improving the model. 1. Aligning the upper main body parts isn't difficult, but needs some location pins to ensure the sections line up properly. 2. Add a notching system to the bottom pieces to ensure proper alignment and joint. 3. Another option for alignment would be to have a hole that allows a tube from the nose through section 8, 10 and 11. I'm looking forward to completing this model as the McQuarrie X-Wing is one of my favorite designs.
