Ladislav Šichman

Ladislav Šichman is the Slovak sculptor focused on the small sculpture, sculptures of miniatures, reliefs, jewellery, designs of coins, medals and monumental sculpture as well. His work has been focused on women and motherhood bearing traces of a strong emotional bias and the attempts to performed reality in the most realistic way. Attractive and publicly admired are Shichman’s sculptural miniatures cast in the tin or even in silver. His creative effort has always been related to pedagogical activities.
