Kintan striders were a species of silicon-based lifeforms from the planet Kintan who were intelligent enough to use simple tools. Their appearance was used for one of the holographic pieces in the game Dejarik. Tasu Leech, topboss of the criminal Kanjiklub gang, owned a Donderbus blaster whose handle was made from the ulna of a Kintan strider. They were the namesake of the Kintan Striders Gang, a gang of Niktos which was active on Tatooine in the early New Republic Era.
