In this series the story tells that Hordak (Skeletor's master) kidnapped Adora (She-Ra), Adam's sister (He-Man), newborn in an attack on the palace of Eternia, in revenge, Hordak having failed to conquer Eternia at that time, brought her to Etheria, raised her, and made her captain of the Horde Army guard. In the first episodes of the series, He-Man goes to Etheria through a dimensional portal. There he knows the situation of the place and how the Horde subdues and takes advantage of the town, so he joins other characters in the rebellion. the Guardian Sorceress of Castle Grayskull through the Sword of Protection, Adora discovers the whole truth about her past and about who He-Man really is: her twin brother.
