Krunchas are light blue, muscular members of the Kremling Krew and common enemies in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Land 2. They are Krushas that wear pirate gear, but despite this, Krunchas are noticeably different in appearance, being shorter and wider than Krushas.Krunchas are enemies in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. Their behavior involves moving back and forth slowly while swinging their heavily-muscled arms. Krunchas can defeat the player character on contact. They can be defeated from either a Team-up throw, an Animal Friend, being hit by a crate or a barrel, or from the effects of the Invincibility Barrel. In the remake only, a Kruncha can also be defeated from being jumped on while Team-up is active. Attempting to attack a Kruncha in any other turns it bright red as it roars in anger. In their enraged state, Krunchas walk around faster, and a team-up throw only defeats the Kong thrown while in this state. After a while, an angry Kruncha reverts to its calm, default state. Most Krunchas are light blue, though there is also an uncommon pink variety that walks off of platforms and moves even faster when enraged. In the cast roll, a Kruncha is classified as being part of the Kremling Kuthroats.
