About the Design
This romantic heart pendant is built around a 10x10mm heart-cut center gemstone in a smooth, polished bezel setting with a softly beveled rim. Above the stone, a three-part articulated bail hangs from a handcrafted chain-link assembly. It combines an oval link, a connector link with two round decorative rivet-style pins, and a top hinge-style bail with a 2mm round accent stone bezel-set into the front. The stone can be a diamond, ruby, emerald, or sapphire, and the design suits white, yellow, or rose gold as well as platinum and silver. It works as a bridal gift, an anniversary or Valentine's piece, a birthstone pendant, or a statement piece in a fine jewelry collection. The finished pendant measures about 26.5mm in overall height, with a heart-shaped bezel body about 12mm wide, 10mm tall and 6mm deep. The bail section is about 7mm tall and 3.5mm wide.
About the 3D Modeling
This model was built as a precise, production-ready 3D CAD file in a professional jewelry design environment, using clean NURBS surfaces for smooth curves and accurate manufacturing tolerances. The design is separated into individual parts: the heart bezel body with its integrated bail loop, the oval link, the connector link with pins, and the top bail with its stone seat. Each part is modeled separately so the links move freely once cast and assembled. The center heart stone (10x10mm) and the 2mm round accent stone are included as gem objects with correct proportions and seat depths, and the file includes a gem report and metal weight calculations. Estimated metal weights are about 2.59g in 10K white gold, 2.97g in 14K white gold, 3.46g in 18K white gold, and 2.44g in .925 sterling silver. About Manufacturing
This design is prepared for jewelry manufacturing, whether you cast or print directly. The STL files can go straight to high-resolution resin, wax, or DLP/SLA printers for lost-wax casting, and the model also works with CNC milling and wax carving. Wall thicknesses, clearances between the movable links, and bezel heights were designed with casting in mind, so it can be cast in gold, platinum, or silver. The bezel setting is straightforward: after casting and polishing, the stones are secured by pressing the bezel edge over the girdle. The chain-link parts can be cast together as a printed assembly or separately and joined afterward, and the separate pieces give jewelers room to adapt the workflow. Standard finishes such as high polish, satin, or two-tone plating suit the piece, and the file can be scaled for larger or smaller versions with adjusted stone sizes.
