In 1935, architect Mario Cereghini built a vast complex in the rationalist style, intended to house the Organizzazione Nazionale Balilla (later merged in 1937 into the GIL - Gioventù Italiana del Littorio) located at 9 Via Conservatorio. It contained a hall intended for theatrical, film and conference performances, which was named Teatro delle Arti.
