Print a elegant and stylish Japanese Shoji style lantern with Kumiko Shippo Tsunagi style pattern.

The shippo-tsunagi pattern, which represents the Seven Treasures, has a long history of use in many temples and shrines. The Seven Treasures described in Buddhist scriptures are gold, silver, lapis lazuli, coral, agate, quartz, and giant clams that are said to live for a thousand years.

The enjoined circles are imbued with wishes for eternal peace, accord, and social ties. The pattern also represents the idea that the relationships and links between people are equal in value to the Seven Treasures.

Roughly 4by 7 it is perfect for desk or table top. The lantern can be assembled without glue for flexibility or glued for strength.

A variety of bases are provided, a blank one, LED tea light and candelabra bulb. The lantern is able to easily lit with an LED tea light without any base included if desired.

All large lanterns have the same sized panels so panels from multiple designs can be swapped. Printing Tips

The lantern can be printed with a 0.3 layer height and 10% infill for speed.Generally an interesting surface pattern such as Hilbert Curve to the top surface or such adds a very nice touch to the external faces of the lantern.

It is important to note that the build plate side of the lantern is inside facing. If the details of the Kumiko have problems on the first layer that can be ignored as the are almost always corrected on subsequent layers and the top outer-facing layer ends up just fine.

The 'lantern_inner_box' is the size of the inside of the lantern. Print this model in vase mode with a translucent filament, such as a matte white, and it will create an insert that will slide into the lantern giving the effect of the paper. Makes for an easy way to give the lantern a very finished and striking look.

An entire lantern at 100% will be roughly 160 grams of filament.
