DESCRIPTION

If you're thinking of pop-culture it's hard to think of many bands which have had such a massive impact, and indeed such a shaping hand, of pop-culture for the last six decades than The Beatles. I was never a massive fan of their music but I freely and with deep respect acknowledge the special place they have in the annals of music, and the huge contribution to the whole rock/pop genre. From the young, clean-cut lads who brought the world 'I Wanna Hold Your Hand' and 'Love Me Do' to the psychedelic trailblazers of 'Sergeant Pepper' fame, we all thank the Gods of Rock for giving us John, Paul, George and Ringo.

This coaster is a tribute to the later stages of the Fab Four's career, and to the much loved animated movie 'Yellow Submarine'. Whether the late, great Bill Hicks was right and the Beatles DID have to get Ringo off the ceiling with a rake to sing the song, the image of the Yellow Submarine is one which virtually everyone can point at and say 'Beatles'. It may be sacrilegious to park a coffee cup on the timeless symbol of the Swinging '60s, but it's either that or cup rings....

The coaster has holes in the back to be retrofitted with 3mm x 5mm neodymium magnets (available separately in my store) so it can be used as a magnetic plaque or sign, or so it can be permanently mounted. Doesn't just have to be used as a coaster! You can order one, printed and assembled, in my Etsy store - www.etsy.com/uk/shop/enterprisexddesign
