DESCRIPTION

Do you want a pot that isn’t “modern” and basic? That will keep your plants cozy and happy.

Incorporating Gothic and Victorian elements, this stylish little pot is perfect for your desk or indoor garden…

This pot prints in two pieces (plus two optional accessories which go inside it):

the Planter/vase,the Pedestal,the inner cupthe flapperhttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B097HCT436?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

This magnetic planter uses eight (8x3mm) strong earth magnets to hold the vase to the pedestal. The pedestal acts as the water tray, except there is a huge air gap so the water drips in, thus there will be no root rot and it's hard to over water it.

The holes are designed for magnets to fit snug with no glue needed, but a dab of super glue in each magnet hole will help make sure they never wiggle loose!

If you love Gothic and Victorian architecture and antiques, this piece should look lovely in your home or at the office.

You can use and enjoy this planter with only the 8 magnets and the rest isn't really necessary, but adds a cool convenient feature.

(2x) OPTIONAL ADDITIONAL PIECES:

Once you print and install the flapper and inner cup you can use the pedestal to water the plant by simply taking it off the bottom and pouring it into the planter/vase. You can reused the water from earlier. Otherwise the water would drip through the drainage hole in the vase if you did this without the flapper sealing the bottom. There is a raised piece on the pedestal that pushes the flapper up, opening the seal when it’s on it.

A small lead weight goes in the bottom of the flapper so gravity causes it to create a seal against the bottom of the vase/Planter. You'll need a small rubber washer, gasket or o ring anything should work. The cup that goes into the vase/planter keeps the dirt off the flapper and makes sure the dirt doesn't fall into the cracks and end up in the pedestal. You can glue some mesh to the bottom of the cup or use some rocks at the bottom. You could probably even 3D print some rocks maybe I will add that to a later version, who knows. You could also use a thin one layer thick sheet of filament or paper.

3D printing settingsFor best visual results use Silk PLA, install magnets by forcing them into their respective holes (glue is optional) then put the other four onto them and shove the other piece on and the magnets will go into the holes on the other. It may take some force and alignment but i did it just fine.
