I came up with a method that allows you to insert rope between the armored sections, giving the armor a more flexible movement.
But I took it even further and created a 3D printable mold so you can experiment with pouring flexible resin, silicone, or other materials into it — allowing you to make the armor truly flexible.
I’ll leave the experimenting to you guys, but keep in mind: because of the extremely fine details on this part, it is better suited for resin printers. It can still be printed on filament machines, though — just use the smallest layer height possible for the best results.
The vambraces were another fun piece to design. I included two different options:
a snug wrist fita wider wrist openingPick whichever version works best for your build.
I also designed an “invisible” seam for the vambraces, so when they are closed there is no obvious line visible from the outside, keeping the clean armored look.
The rest of the release is pretty straightforward:3MF filesSTL filesPre-sliced filesPre-cut versions
You know the drill :)
Have fun printing, and I can’t wait to see what you guys create with it!
