DESCRIPTION

A highly detailed Victorian-era railway engine shed designed specifically for HO scale (1:87) 3D printing. Every part of this model has been designed with printability in mind and physically prototype-tested on a Bambu Lab P1S with a 0.4mm nozzle at 0.3mm line width.

Key features:

  • Designed for HO scale (1:87) - compatible with Märklin, Roco, Fleischmann, and Hornby layouts
  • 3.5mm wall thickness for sturdy, warp-resistant prints
  • Detailed brick coursing texture across all exterior walls
  • Stone/cream trim detailing on cornices, window arches, and base
  • Arched windows along the full length of both side walls
  • Clerestory ventilation windows along the roofline
  • Large Gothic-arch locomotive entrance on the gable end
  • Multi-part assembly - parts sized to fit standard 256x256mm print beds
  • Can be printed without supports; supports on arch overhangs recommended for best results
  • Watertight, manifold geometry - no mesh errors

Printing recommendations:

  • Nozzle: 0.4mm
  • Line width: 0.3mm (for best brick texture detail)
  • Layer height: 0.16mm or less is recommended
  • Walls in a brick/terracotta or stone filament; trusses in dark brown or black for cast iron effect
  • Supports: Not required but recommended on arch spans for clean results

File formats included:

  • STL (all parts, individual files)
  • 3MF (pre-oriented for printing)
  • OBJ
