I have recently released a design with oil drums on a standard pallet, with new safety regulations oil drums are now generally stored on spill pallets in case the drum leeks. So I have created another set of designs with the oil drums on spill pallets.
Oil Drums are found all over the world in lots of locations, they are used to transport all sorts of chemicals and oils. Generally, oil drums are made out of steel but are now also made out of plastic. With this design you get - 4 Oil Drums on a Spill Pallet, 3 Oil Drums on a Spill Pallet, 2 Oil Drums on a Spill Pallet, an Oil Drum on its own, and a Spill Pallet on its own. Having a Spill Pallet and Oil drum as individual items may help with painting or creating a scene.I have also included STL files with supports added, these files start with _.
These items have been designed at OO gauge, 1/76.2 scale. For HO Gauge print at 87%, 1/87 Scale,For O Gauge UK print at 175%, 1/43.5 scale,For O Gauge International print at 158%, 1/48 scale,For TT Gauge print at 63.5%, 1/120 scale, for N Gauge UK print at 51.5%, 1/148 Scale, (Caution: I have not test printed this in N gauge scale).
The examples in the pictures were printed on an AnyCubic Proton M3 3D resin printer.I recommend printing these on a 3D resin printer to get the best print definition. As per normal with my designs, there is a balance between accuracy and printability, hopefully not affecting the look of the model too much.
This is a video I found on how to paint oil drums.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8sk07Dttv8&t=405s
I use AnyCubic Water Washable Resin for most of my items but use AnyCubic ABS Like Resin for anything that needs to be stronger and tougher.
