DESCRIPTION

Here are all the files necessary to 3D print a functional pottery wheel, including the pedal for speed control.

The package includes a comprehensive printing and building guide, list of components, wiring diagrams, and pictures to guide you through the construction process.

It works on 24V, which makes it safer to use and allows the wheel to be built around easy to source components. The built in gearbox increases the torque and limits the speed at a maximum of 206 R.P.M., making the pedal control more responsive.

It requires some non-printed parts, such as 8mm rod, 608 bearings, E-Clips, the motor and the rest of the electric components (full list in the building manual with pictures for each component).

The compact size makes it very portable and easy to store when not in use compared to a full size wheel, with obvious tradeoffs regarding power. It’s a small pottery wheel for making small pieces, but a very capable one when using the right components!

The design is printed mostly in PLA, with the exception of the pedal rack that should be printed in TPU. The project contains an easy to follow 44 pages long printing and building guide with details for all the relevant parts and lots of pictures. I highly recommend reading it completely before starting the printer!
