Scale: 1/87 (H0)The attached design allows for three versions:
- A single-lantern, non-luminous pole (without LED) /7m height in real
- A double-lantern, non-luminous pole (without LED) /7m height in real
- A single-lantern, luminous pole (SMD LED) /9m height in real
To make the LED version, you'll need to purchase SMD diodes with soldered leads from a Chinese shopping portal, special 100mm needles for distributing glue, and medical needles, which will be bent in the needle-bending device I've included with the project (FDM print). A 1.2mm x 40mm medical needle fits perfectly into the Chinese 100mm needle '10/20pcs 100MM White Stainless Steel Blunt Dispensing Needles Glue Syringe Needle Tips For Gluing Filling Ink Oil Welding Flux'. See the attached photos for instructions. The needle tips can't be cut with pliers - they must be cut with a mini-grinder. In my project, the SMA diode is powered by a 10k ohm resistor, and I added a standard semiconductor diode. The additional diode isn't strictly necessary, but it allows for similar-looking terminals for positive and negative polarity.
Note: poles are long and thin elements. If you print using used FEP film, you'll get correctly printed elements, but the difference in transparency of the used FEP film will cause uneven resin density, and as a result, the elements will warp 3-4 days after printing.
