DESCRIPTION

The STL is for a 3d printed lure that should be around 14 grams when finished and casts well, and sinks slowly in salt water. The lure sinks flat and will rattle when jerked.Peripheral parts required are 0.8mm stainless wire, lead, eyes roughly 4mm in diameter, some form of bead or ball bearing for the rattle, UV resin and paint.

Process:Note: make sure the lure is around 100mm long so the through wire will fit correctly

  1. Print lure with supports on print bed with .16mm layer height or lower.
  2. Use lead flashing for rooves, and cut small sections with scissors or tin snips and super glue the small pieces in the recesses in the bottom of the lure.
  3. Thread the wire through the body, pulling the wire through the centre with another piece of wire, or use a small swivel.
  4. Push the wire ends back into the bodyto create the rear hook hanger and tie on point.
  5. Put the rattle material in the body, and seal the cap on with some super glue
  6. Seal the lure with UV resin, before sanding and painting.
  7. Put eyes on then put the final clear coat on before using to fish.
