Gunstar Toy from The Last Starfighter for 3D printing

Gunstar Toy from The Last Starfighter for 3D printing 3D print model

Description

GunStar Printable Version 2.0 . This great bestseller has been improved! New smoother topology, simplified printing layout and stair lift to the inside. Included are .STL .OBJ and .FBX files. No textures or shaders included, not UV mapped, not boned. The glass canopy print can be used to make a transparent version of it if you have the adeguate equipment since is standalone. The entrance and heavy guns parts are hinged and designed to be opened. The cockpit gunner section is designed to be adjastable. Natively for 30x30 cm bed size, but can be printed smaller.

IMPORTANT: NOT to be used for renders The model is meant to be printed only, not to be used in any other way. If you want to use the mesh in a 3d program, including but not exclusive to: renders, animations or game use, you should ask for a project collaboration. Depending on the scale, importance and/or finantial compesation I might accept or decline such collaboration. The 3D printable model is in no way suitable to be used in a 3d software other than a slicer due to the extremely taxing mesh. Please specify the nature of your project and I will take under consideration the proposal. If one or more of the above project requirements are enticing enough I will supply the rigged and optimised model of the GunStar.

Greetings starfighter! I´ve been selected by the Star League to print this model and defend my home with it´s nerd powers. ;D Amazing model! Can´t wait to start printing. Just one question: Would be possible to merge the glass cage and the cage in one file? This way would be easier to print with transparent resin and later mask and paint the cage. :) (Sorry about my rusty/poor english). Best wishes!

Hi there recruit. The parts you are describing would have impurities left over by the printing process which would be a pain to clean, I've tested it long ago before submitting the model. Thanks for your comment and may the luck of the seven pillars of Gulu stay with you.

Needs an instruction manual, too many small parts. The parts come into the slicer tiny. Need more information on what scale this is.

The size depends on how your slicer is set up, enlarge the largest part in the "main" folder to see how big you can print it as and use the size percentage an all the other parts. Alternatively use your slicer manual. Please learn how to use the software before erroneously commenting.

Awesome work on a great model - very impressive! I purchased this a while ago and am looking at printing this one soon (after the Starcar). Would you be able to provide all three dimensions? I'm specifically looking for the overall length of the ship so I can determine how I want to scale it when printing. Thank you!

massive poly count and you have to build it yourself. why isn't there a file with the whole model in? instead of 100 folders with each part in.
