Mimic2, M2 for short and more commonly referred to as The Mimic, is the main antagonist of the Five Nights at Freddy's Steel Wool series. M2 also appears as the main antagonist in the RUIN DLC for Security Breach, and the titular main antagonist in Five Nights at Freddy's: Secret of the Mimic.

M2 originally started out as a self-learning AI program housed in the body of a shapeshifting endoskeleton, created sometime in the mid-to-late 1970s created by Edwin Murray to replicate the behavior of and replace his dead son, David Sean Murray. Prior to its creation, its mechanical body was previously occupied by M1.
