Kirby is a fictional character and the protagonist of the Kirby video game series, designed by Masahiro Sakurai in 1992 and developed by Nintendo and HAL Laboratory. Since his first appearance in Kirby's Dream Land for the Game Boy he has become one of Nintendo's most popular characters.Kirby is described as a pink spherical creature that lives on the planet Pop Star. His main ability is to absorb objects and enemies to launch them into a star shape, or swallow them and copy their abilities. He is also able to expand his body with air to fly over the stage.
