DESCRIPTION

Hello, here is Shanks sword from One Piece. Ive designed the prop around the blade { 3mm x 30mm x 1mt steel profile } but also included the 3D printable version for those who dont own power tools, tho i strongly suggest using the steel profile as the base, as the printed version is obviusly more fragile. The dimensions are the same as the ones in the files, just print the blade on paper and transfer the blueprint onto the steel profile. The overall composition is pretty straight forward, but if you have any issues just write me up, ill be happy to help.

--- SOME SUGGESTIONS AND TIPS ---

  • print all pieces on 6% infil, 1.6mm layers, 2 wall counts , 3 bottom layers and 6 top layers ( EXCEPT FOR THE HANDLE, which requires 15% infil and 3 wall counts, in order to provide more rigidity)
  • avoid rafts, EXCEPT for cover pieces or those with a poor contact area, such as the cover`s top and bottom endcaps
  • some refinement with sandpaper or rotary tools will be needed for proper fitting and finnish
  • use gold PLA as a base filament to save on time and money on painting
  • around 500 g needed with printed blade or, 400g circa with a steel profile blade

PERSONAL USE ONLY!

Happy Printing!

Printed up nicely, really liked how the sheath was made to go together. I did end up making the blade out of wood to make it con friendly and steadier then printing it
