Over the last year, I have been producing building materials that you can print on your FDM printers. Then I had a thought that lots of people build their own canopies for their stations. So, I had a look at my local station and thought I could produce the valance along the side of the canopy. After a bit of searching, I discovered there are many different designs and will hopefully be covering many of these.
I have produced this item in lengths of 120mm and 240mm, and these will fit on most 3D printers. As everyone's requirement is slightly different, I have done three heights: 8mm, 10mm, and 30mm in case you need longer for the end of a canopy. The valance is 1mm thick. Once printed, they can be trimmed as required.
designed at OO gauge, 1/76.2 scale but can easily be scaled for other gauges.for HO gauge print at 87%, 1/87 Scale, for TT gauge print at 63.5% 1/120 Scale, for O gauge UK at 175%, 1/43.5 Scale, for O gauge International print at 158%, 1/48 Scale, for N gauge print at 51.49%, 1/148 Scale, (Caution: I have not printed this model in N gauge so I can’t guarantee its printability)
The example in the pictures was printed on a Bambu Labs A1 FDM Printer. As normal with my designs, there is a balance between accuracy and printability, hopefully not affecting the look of the model too much.
