When I visited the Watercress Line, I walked around the side of the Station building at Ropley and spotted a small building. Upon looking at it, I thought it would be a nice little design that people might find useful.
The building at Ropley was made out of concrete blocks, but I also thought it could be done with bricks. Because of this, I have created this design in two versions: Brick and Concrete Block. The building is about 2.9m Long, 2m wide, and 3.2m high in real life. In OO scale, this is 38mm x 26mm x 43mm.
Designed at OO Gauge, 1/76.2 Scale.for HO print at 87%, 1/87 Scale.for O UK print at 175%, 1/43.3 Scale.for O International print at 158%, 1/48 Scale.for N gauge print at 51.49%, 1/148 scale. (Caution: I have not printed this model in N gauge so can’t guarantee its printability)
The examples in the pictures were printed on an AnyCubic Proton M3 3D resin printer and a Bambu Labs A1 FDM Printer.I recommend printing these on a 3D resin printer to get the best print definition. It has been designed to also be printed on an FDM printer using a 0.2mm nozzle (Detail will not be as good as a resin printer). As normal with my designs, there is a balance between accuracy and printability, hopefully not affecting the look of the model too much.
For small detailed items, when printing on my FDM printer, I used a 0.2mm nozzle, which gives you a far better quality print.
