DESCRIPTION

When Star Trek was being developed for tv in the 60's, concept designer Matt Jefferies created a set of drawings showing what he envisioned for a shuttlecraft. Taking inspiration from Classic Sci-Fi ships he created a rounded capsule vessel that was wider at the front and narrow at the rear with a pylon nacelle on each side. While a unique design, it was going to be to expensive to create at full scale version within the budget the show had at the time.

Now, with the use of 3d and taking reference from his sketches, the shuttle he designed can now be printed. This model is scaled at 1:48th & 1:72nd and comes in several pieces for ease of printing. I am also including files for printing a Vacuform Buck so those with a forming table can make clear inserts for the windows. I have also included a decal sheet and assembly guide for you to print out and help you with the build.

The test model seen in the attached images was printed on a Phrozen Sonic 8K Mega machine and finished by modeller Lou Dalmaso (Aztec Dummy on Youtube).

If you have any questions about the file or need a format change, please feel free to contact me and i will respond as quickly as possible.

Thank you for viewing and I hope you try out this unique model.

** Please note, Files have been updated as of July 20th, 2024 to fix some minor issues noted from previous customers. **
