Korean Turtle Ship AOE2 3D print model

Hi, this is my detailed replica of the Korean Turtle Ship of Age of Empire 2. The Turtle Ship is is a heavily armored gunpowder warship and represents the strongest naval unit in the game although very slow and expensive.

I designed this model with Blender. I used the images of the original ship as a references but I modified some details to facilitate the 3D printing.

The ship is made up of six parts easy to print and assemble: wooden hull, metal spikes armour, cannons (26 copies will be needed ), oars cannons (12 copies will be needed), flag and flagpole. The joints between the parts are not perfect, so if you want something absolutely fixed I suggest to sanding the parts and gluing them together. I have also included a file to print the entire ship already assembled.

I painted the boat by hand with acrylic colors, but I designed the model so that the wooden and metal parts can be printed separately: in this way you can easily print the ship with one brown, one gray and one white filament/resin.

The Turtle Ship measure: 110 mm wide x 188 mm long x 77 mm high and it took me about 8 hours to be printed.

Take note: This model was designed to be a 3d print, supports are not included.

The turtle ship is one of my favorite units in the game and I am very happy to share this model with you, I hope you will like it too.

3D printing settingsI printed the Turtle ship with my Elegoo Mars 4 Max and sliced with Voxeldance Tango 4.0.

My print setting was:

• Layer height: 0.05 mm;
• Bottom layer count: 5;
• Exposure time: 2,5 seconds;
• bottom exposure time: 30 seconds.
• support: yes for wooden hull, flag and flagpole, no for metal spikes armour, canons, oars
