DESCRIPTION

This is a 3D printable scale model of the legendary russian MI 24 Helicopter. Scale 1:48 (apx. 34 cm long).

Developed as a assembly kyt, focused on give a final object very accurate, and a great time for who wans to go one step forward in scale modeling using 3d printing.

It propose an experience between classic plastic asembly model kits and the scratch building... sometimes printings may need some sanding or putty... but at the end you will have something unique!

Pics show a model printed with DLP, and acrylic painted with brush.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I when i did it.

PD: This model was developed during COVID 19 quarantine, we cant go out home since a month... and all around us is collapsing... so creativity is my way to face this.So I`ll apreciate your preference!

PRINTING PARAMETERS

Printable in FDM or DLP.

FDM: some pieces may need support. Use thin layers to make a better model. (015 or less) and 0.2 Nozzle. Note: is possible to print with bigger nozzle but some details may not be ok.

DLP: Is a great adventure... but results are good (see de photos)... I worked with a Wanhao D7, using Wanhao Clear Resin - water washable. I printed in 50u.

The files have no option as advertised for a option for the canopy to be printed clear and added.

Hello, I will contact you so that you can solve the two problems, which are the first the parts are crossed and the second they are not the same size and there are some missing.

The buyer left negative feedback on this model

Some parts needed to be fixed Hind part 5 tile 2 have unneccesery extension that need to be shorten/cuted Hind part 2 doors have very small area of connection so its easy to break Hind part 3 those little bumps attached to main model is sticking just by couple pixels, after printing they falloff very easly. Rearwheels could use some buff as they are very delicate It took me like 1h to edit those problems, and i don't have much experience in 3d modeling, so im sure you can do it better :P Beside this, its quite good model, rotor looks really neat.

It is in 1:48 scale... 1 meter = 20.8mm

What scale is this? 28mm?
