Description

Print in Place sliding puzzle toy Easter egg bunny versionEASY TO PRINT, DIFFICULT TO SOLVE!!!Very very challenging puzzle if you do not show the final illustration/result to your friends!!

Easy print in place, no post-production, just fun!

Are you new with 3D printing? No problem! In that case just use the version n°3 (that is the smoother one with larger holes between the sliding pieces and it is why it's the easier to print), but if you want to be super super sure that your sliding puzzle will work well without post-production just use an higher size value as 150% and check if your first layer looks nice! The version n°1 has very small details and it is both more elegant and more difficult to print, to avoid any problem just scale it up and have fun!

K1 Max gcode for Creality Hyper PLA included.

->HOW TO PRINT IT?

Check if the first layer looks good! That's all.The first layer looks good if the puzzle blocks are not touching each other; they should be free to slide, so they can't touch! If they touch, increase the size of the object! Easy.

->3 VERSIONS! COMPRARISONS:

• The version n°3 is the easier version to print (you can print it at 100% of size and it will work well because holes are bigger!) so it is easy to print. It is a tiny fidget toy.

• Version n°2, the verson with separate pieces. It is a regular puzzle with no sliding pieces, pieces are free to move because they are separated. It is the easier way to solve this puzzle of course!!

• If you are using the version n°1, that is the most elegant with tiny holes, verify that there is no overlaps between the blocks just checking the slicing or the first layer before to print it: if tollerance is ok and if your first layer looks nice, print it with size 100%. If your lines are touching or if you want to be sure that your slicing puzzle will work, just print it with an higher size (150% is nice too).

Of course, the best approach would be to print it with enough space to allow easy sliding on the tracks. However,if you've made a mistake and your blocks aren't moving:

  1. Start bending the puzzle forcefully; you'll hear cracks, indicating weak points splitting. Weak points are those areas in the design that are intended to be empty spaces but fused due to a printing error, which often occurs with small sizes.
  2. A good idea to make a smooth sliding is also to cut the corners. The corners, during movements, can get stuck in one point and anchor with friction. By cutting or chamfering the corners, the aesthetic appearance may be less appealing, but the toy will slide much better! The version No. 3, the easiest to print, has chamfered corners precisely to avoid deformations and excess during printing! It's possible to print version No. 1 as well, but in a larger size or with more attention to details.
  3. If the opposite issue arises, where the filament shrinks more than expected during the printing, print a narrower frame and forcefully fit the pieces inside. Alternatively, use it resting on a table, allowing the pieces to slide on a surface. The next time print it smaller or bigger! Or tag me and share your gcode and print parameters with me :)
