1/8
- Bear
Bear is a mountain of a man with a wild, grizzled beard, wearing nothing but a rugged leather vest over his bare, muscular chest. A former survivalist and woodsman, he was built for the apocalypse. He carries a massive, makeshift axe, its head seemingly forged from scrap metal and rebar, perfect for cleaving through zombie skulls. In his other hand, he often wields a sawn-off shotgun, a weapon as blunt and powerful as the man himself. Bear looks like he has been living off the grid for decades and isn't about to let the undead ruin his peace.
- Dan
Dan is a sharp-dressed but slightly dishevelled greaser, straight out of the 1950s. His slicked-back pompadour hair remains surprisingly perfect despite the chaos. He wears a cuffed denim jacket over a white t-shirt and dark, rolled-up jeans. A pair of stylish sunglasses sits on his face. Dan’s preferred weapons are quick and deadly, usually depicted holding two gleaming silver revolvers. He views the zombie outbreak as just another opportunity to show off his quick-draw skills and unwavering cool.
- Doc
Doc, easily one of the most distinctive survivors, is a man of science... and now, a man of violence. Clad in a tattered, blood-spattered tweed suit and an old-fashioned bowler hat, he is a former coroner who took his work home with him. He wields an enormous, customized bone-saw that looks more appropriate for a butcher than a surgeon, which he uses with horrifying, clinical precision. When not slicing through infected flesh, he often carries a small, lethal-looking cleaver.
- James
James is a smooth-talking, well-groomed musician who was in the middle of a tour when the apocalypse hit. He still wears his tailored, purple stage suit, though it’s now dusty and stained. A fedora is tilted stylishly on his head. While his career may be on hold, his skill with a bat is not. James wields a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire, which he uses to play the hits on zombie heads. He's also rarely seen without a submachine gun, a weapon he handles with surprising elegance.
- Jane
Jane is a roller-derby girl who found that her sports gear was surprisingly effective for fighting the undead. She wears a colorful jersey, ripped fishnets, and full roller-derby padding, including a helmet with goggles pushed up. Crucially, she is depicted on roller skates, giving her unmatched mobility. Her weapon of choice is an old-fashioned spiked mace, which she swings with tremendous force while skating circles around slower-moving zombies.
- Louise
A quiet, soft-spoken elderly woman, Louise is a former librarian who everyone underestimated. She is dressed in practical but slightly worn clothing: a patterned cardigan, a plaid skirt, and orthopaedic shoes. Her hair is kept in a neat bun, and spectacles hang around her neck. While she may seem frail, she is deadly with a crossbow, picking off zombies silently from afar. For close-up work, she uses a small hatchet she keeps hidden in her knitting bag.
- Terry
Terry is a slightly overweight, nervous-looking store clerk who has managed to survive through sheer luck and an abundance of caution. He wears a branded, short-sleeve work shirt and khaki trousers. He is often depicted in a state of mild panic, but that makes him unpredictable. He carries a powerful assault rifle that he likely looted early on, and he wields it with surprising effectiveness, albeit while usually shouting in terror. He often carries several Molotov cocktails, preferring to set the problem on fire from a distance.
- Travis
Travis is a heavily-tattooed biker and general bad news, who has found a purpose in the post-apocalyptic world. He wears a worn leather jacket with patches over a sleeveless t-shirt, and his arms are covered in complex ink. He has a shaved head and a thick moustache. Travis prefers brutally effective melee weapons. He is usually depicted wielding a long-handled fire axe, which he swings with the power of someone who has nothing left to lose. He also uses a heavy-calibre pistol for when things get too crowded.
- Redcap (Benson)
This character, who resembles the historical Rasputin, is a deluded but powerful figure. Dressed in long, tattered robes, a floppy hat (the red cap), and an incredibly long, scraggly beard, he believes himself to be on a divine mission. He carries a large, ominous-looking double-barrel shotgun which he wields with fervor. In his other hand, he often grips a large meat cleaver, which he uses to purify the infected up close. He believes the zombie outbreak is a divine judgement he was born to enforce.
